Instructional Design, sometimes called curriculum design, can be defined as the systematic development of instructional specifications using learning and instructional theory to ensure the quality of instruction. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN??? In essence, it is the entire process of analyzing the learning needs/goals of an organization and then developing a delivery system to meet those needs. It also includes development and evaluation of instructional materials and learner activities.
